1) Root access means you will have complete control of your phone, to load a custom ROM (e.g.- Cyanogenmod) or download apps that require root access from the Android Market

2) Only works on windows!!! (I know it gets annoying but i found a friend that let me do this on his computer)

3) You must have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher.
                      32 bit: here
                      64 bit: here

4) Download latest version of SuperOneClick rooter, scroll down page to attached files then download latest version
                SuperOneClick rooter: here

5) On phone go to Settings > Applications > Development > Check USB Debugging

6) Plug in phone in to computer

7) Right click the root program and click 'Run as Administrator'

8) Click the root button and wait for it to finish, YOU'RE ROOTED!! (See below if it gets stuck at 'waiting for device'

9) To check if rooted go into apps then check if superuser permissions is in there

Reported Issues

Issue: rooting program gets stuck on waiting for device

Solutions:
1) Make sure USB debugging is enabled- If step fails, go to Step 2

2) Close rooting program, turn off phone (still plugged in). Open rooting program and click root button and the power button on your phone at the same time.- If step fails, go to Step 3

3) Close rooting program and un-plug phone. Go to PDANet site, and install the drivers required for your phone. Once done installing, plug the phone back in and re-open rooting program and try again

If none of these steps work then it's not worth going through the very complicated manual procedure

How To Install Honeycomb A ROM On HTC Flyer

s
People were looking for a guide to show them how to install a honeycomb rom on htc flyer now finally  we have a how-to guide a developer  informed us about this complete guide for installing Android Honeycomb on the HTC Flyer.
According to the source, this guide has only been tested on a Euro WWE 32GB 3G Flyer, but it may work on other configurations as well. The ROM is completely stock and if you have all the necessary files, you can revert back to Gingerbread if needed. Please be sure to know how to proceed before starting as this may damage your device.

How To Install Honeycomb A ROM On HTC Flyer
Please Read This Carefully:

  • This process is recommended for experts only!
  • This guide is only tested on a Euro WWE 32GB 3G Flyer – it may work on other configurations, but this is untested (i’d advise reading the topic to see if anyone has experimented with your configuration!)
  • Anything you do from this point forward is at your own risk – my Flyer works and i’ve resurrected a couple of others, but I take no responsibility if it all goes horribly wrong. You COULD brick your tablet
  • Do NOT under any circumstances run the RUU in it’s entirety nor ‘fastboot flash rom.zip’ – this will make irreversible changes that you don’t want!
  • Be careful if you flash any RUUs or do anything that could revert you to S-ON on a broken system – this could leave you stuck

Instructions to Install HoneyComb ROM ON HTC FLYER:

  • Ensure you have an RUU that matches the ROM version on your Flyer. I used the 2.00.405.3 WWE ROM which can be found here - DOWNLOAD – MD5: 28a32c0b1262ced44a547e4a9a42d9b0. This is important for rollback purposes and disaster recovery purposes. Ensuring you have the RUU and your device version matches is your responsibility! If you use a different RUU however, post it below for your peers to benefit from. A reference topic containing various RUU files can be found here.
  • Download the Honeycomb system image for clockworkmod – you’ll need this later - DOWNLOAD – MD5: a068750ade064f4fe3913fe9e13d976f
  • Download the Honeycomb radio image – you’ll need this later - DOWNLOAD – MD5: d6b36ccb1cbdc0a86f41a8f63b7ae52f
  • Download the Honeycomb boot image – you’ll need this later - DOWNLOAD – MD5: 26f53c6a6e686751e300340af7496b8c
  • Download the revolutionary recovery image patched for new hboot compatability – you’ll need this later - DOWNLOAD – MD5: 16fe327f70c3036af69c19ec93b87e44
  • Download the updated hboot – you’ll need this later – ensure you check the MD5 after download (VERY important) - DOWNLOAD – MD5: 2eb541192be861ecceb2baa254403ade
  • Unlock your Flyer’s bootloader with Revolutionary.
  • You should still be in bootloader – if not, use ‘adb reboot bootloader’ to return to fastboot
  • Flash your device’s radio with the Honeycomb radio with the fastboot command ‘fastboot flash radio stock-hc-flyer-radio.img’
  • Flash your device’s boot image with the Honeycomb boot image with the fastboot command ‘fastboot flash boot stock-hc-flyer-boot.img’
  • Launch ClockworkMod recovery – navigate to the ‘bootloader’ menu then select ‘recovery’
  • Push the new hboot to your device (you’ve checked the MD5 right?) and flash – ‘adb push stock-hc-flyer-hboot_1.11.0006.nb0 / && adb shell dd if=/stock-hc-flyer-hboot_1.11.0006.nb0 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p18′
  • Reboot to the new bootloader – ‘adb reboot bootloader’
  • You are now in a state where you must unlock the bootloader using the HTC tools – visit http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader/ and follow the instructions (Flyer compatability isn’t listed, but it’ll work)
  • Flash your device’s recovery with the patched-to-work-with-new-hboot revolutionary recovery – ‘fastboot flash recovery revolutionary-cwm-4.0.1.4-flyer.newhboot.img’
  • Launch ClockworkMod recovery – navigate to the ‘bootloader’ menu then select ‘recovery’
  • Flash the Honeycomb system zip by copying / pushing to sdcard (adb shell mount /sdcard && adb push stock-hc-flyer-system.zip /sdcard/) then using the on screen menus
  • Erase data / cache using the on screen menus
  • Reboot the device and you should be done!
If you need further assistance and support please feel free to contact the developers here

How To Unlock Samsung Galaxy S II

How To Unlock Samsung Galaxy S II
If you got your Samsung Galaxy S II with a SIM lock, meaning that your carrier barred your phone from using any other company’s SIM card, then there is some great news for you! Now you can search unlock code for your sgs ii with the help of an application that is currently available in the android market. This App finder will find the SIM unlock code for your device, or the unfreeze code. It’ll take a few minutes to run, but you should end up with the code to SIM unlock your device. If the code doesn’t work, don’t keep trying it !. You may end up with a freeze. In that case, the program can also find the unfreeze code, but if the SIM unlock code is wrong in the first place, maybe so is the unfreeze code. This application only works on rooted phones.

How to flash MIUI CWM and Root your Motorola A854
This is my very first time on showing you, the reader, how to flash anything. You see I’m not the most certified or the most knowledgeable person to be showing you this or even writing this guide, but this is why I am doing it.

A few days ago a relative of mine had a Motorola Droid, well that is what it looked like but upon further inspection it was branded A854, and he said it wasn’t working. So story short it was a bad battery so I replaced it and all, then to my very bad luck I found it was running Android 2.1.

I started a new thread about this because its a very different method than the one use in this thread and I didnt want the methods to be confused. This method is safer imo as it does not require flashing sbf files.

This method was originally used to root the Droid2

Credit for the tutorial goes to karnovaran at xda. You can find his original thread here. I have changed the directions a little to make them slightly easier and suited for the Droid1.
