The root for the Motorola Droid 3 on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread works on an exploit discovered by djrbliss and was written by framework43/psouza4.


Instructions To Root Motorola Droid 3 Running Android 2.3.4

  • The first step is to download and install Motorola Drivers on your Windows PC: 64-bit / 32-bit.
  • Download MotorolaOneClickRoot_psouza4 from here on your desktop and extract it  using a suitable software.
  • Now perform this step on your Droid 3, Go to main menu > Settings >Applications > Development and > check the option for USB debugging.
  • Plug in your phone to computer in “Charge Only” mode.
  • On your computer, go inside the MotorolaOneClickRoot_psouza4 folder and Run MotorolaOneClickRoot.exe
