Steps Speed Up your Android Phone
Penulis : Dirman Waktu :Wednesday, October 2, 2013 0 Komentar
sChances are because of all the apps and 'other things you've been downloading' and doing on your android phone, its probably slowed down substantially. There are 3 solutions, 1) Buy a better phone with better hardware 2) Uninstall some apps and downloaded files that you no longer need/use 3) Use a few tricks for Rooted and Non-Rooted phones
For the Non-Rooted
steps Speed Up your Android Phone:

1) A New Launcher (ADWLauncher/LauncherPro)Using a 3rd party Launcher as i've already mentioned in my Saving Battery post can save tons of battery and add tons of speed, also with the customizations available with a new launcher, why wouldn't you switch. LauncherPro adds the most speed straight away but doesn't have as many options as ADWLauncher, which is still quite a bit faster than the stock launcher. Personally I prefer ADWLauncher. In the Launcher you can also scan through the setting and tweak the memory settings
2) Get rid of un-used homescreens, widgets and live wallpapersAs i've mentioned in my Saving Battery post, getting rid of homescreens, live wallpapers and widgets (especially auto-updating) can significantly improve battery and performance. It is important to find the balance between performance, battery, productivity and fun. If you become a productivity freak then there was no point in spending all that money on a new phone. You can remove homescreens if your running HTC Sense, Motorola Blurr or a Launcher.
3) Uninstall unwanted apps and downloaded files

Using a Task Manager such as Process Manager, Advanced Task Killer will tell you what apps are running in the background and how much memory they are taking up, if you find that one of your old apps that you no longer use is taking up tons of memory, then simple, uninstall it. Sadly, most of these memory hogging apps come pre-installed on your phone and unless you root, you are stuck with them.
4) Move Apps 2 SDUse the Apps 2 SD app from the Market to move your big apps to your SD to save space on your device and boost performance. In Froyo there is a new inbuilt feature in Settings > Applications > Manage Apps then you have to go through each and every single app until you find one that can be moves to SD. But with Apps 2 SD it shows you which ones are able to be moved and then gives you the option to move it.
For the Rooted
1) Install a Custom ROMInstalling a Custom ROM will not only improve the performance of your phone but improve the battery life. The reason most root is to improve performance by installing a Custom ROM. I use Cyanogenmod due to the stability (even in the experimental versions) and extra customizations available. Also play with the ROM's advanced settings to find the best performance that you use your phone for.
2) Overclocking Your PhoneA way to improve performance and speed in a sluggish phone is to run the processors at MAX the whole time, and by underclocking while the screens off you can improve battery life. SetCPU I found was the best and easiest way to overclock.
3) Uninstall CrapwareCrapware is basically the pre-installed apps that no body uses that you can't remove on a non-rooted phone. On a rooted phone download Titanium Backup and then go into Backup/Restore then tap the app you want to remove and uninstall it
How to Fix Installation unsuccessful Error in Android Market

sHow to Fix Installation unsuccessful Error in Android Market
Most of us have probably encountered the "Installation Unsuccessful" or "Update Unsuccessful" error when trying to update or install a new app.
I don't know about you guys but basically every app in the past week that i've tried to install or update has had this error. The problem with this message on the right is that the Market gives no information on what was the error or how to fix it. If the message just said "Installation/Update was unsuccessful due to lost connection" then the world would be a lot happier. Here are a few solutions:Clear Market Cache and Data
The first solution, that fixed my problem straight away, is simply to Clear your Market's Cache and Data by going into Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > scroll down to Market > Clear Data and Clear Cache. Then press the back button and in the app list go up to 'Download Manager' and Clear Data and Cache as well. Now press the home button and try and re-download the app you tried to download, if it downloads then your set to go!! but if it doesn't then go onto the next step.
Unmount the SD Card before Updating
If clearing the data and cache didn't work then it's most likely an SD card problem. With the recent 2.2 (Froyo) update came the new apps the SD feature and this was when the problems started creeping in because some apps don't like apps on the SD, even if the developer has allowed the move. (Using the app, "Apps 2 SD" might help with this problem.) But the easiest way is to un-mount the SD card before updating, by going into Settings > SD Card & Phone Storage > Un-Mount SD Card. It will take a few second to unmount then try and update it again, if it updates fine then re-mount your SD and move the app back to your SD again. If you find that one of your apps update frequently and un-mounting and re-mounting is getting annoying then just move it back to the phone and leave it there.
Uninstall Market Updates
This could be a quick fix, go into Settings > Applications > Manage Apps > All > (App thats causing problem) > Uninstall Updates. This might seem simple but it might fix this problem.
Uninstall and Re-Install the App
This is probably the simplest solution, go into Settings > Applications > Manage Apps > All > (App thats causing problem) > Uninstall, then go back into Market, search the app and you should hopefully have no problem.

Sync your Chrome Bookmarks with for Android Phone
Instead of typing out every single, very long, url into your android device you can just sync them with ChromeMarks. Just download the app from the Market, go into the Settings of the app, click Choose Account, click on your google account and click sync. It will very rapidly sync and there are your chrome bookmarks. (You do need bookmarks synced in Chrome). There is a free version that does the syncing bit, but the paid version syncs the bookmarks to your Android browser and gives auto-sync features as well as syncing bookmarks from Android to Chrome. The paid version costs £1.27 ($2.01).

1) Root access means you will have complete control of your phone, to load a custom ROM (e.g.- Cyanogenmod) or download apps that require root access from the Android Market
2) Only works on windows!!! (I know it gets annoying but i found a friend that let me do this on his computer)
3) You must have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher.
32 bit: here
64 bit: here
4) Download latest version of SuperOneClick rooter, scroll down page to attached files then download latest version
SuperOneClick rooter: here
5) On phone go to Settings > Applications > Development > Check USB Debugging
6) Plug in phone in to computer
7) Right click the root program and click 'Run as Administrator'
8) Click the root button and wait for it to finish, YOU'RE ROOTED!! (See below if it gets stuck at 'waiting for device'
9) To check if rooted go into apps then check if superuser permissions is in there
Reported Issues
Issue: rooting program gets stuck on waiting for device
Solutions:
1) Make sure USB debugging is enabled- If step fails, go to Step 2
2) Close rooting program, turn off phone (still plugged in). Open rooting program and click root button and the power button on your phone at the same time.- If step fails, go to Step 3
3) Close rooting program and un-plug phone. Go to PDANet site, and install the drivers required for your phone. Once done installing, plug the phone back in and re-open rooting program and try again
If none of these steps work then it's not worth going through the very complicated manual procedure

I few months ago, there were rumors of a Playstation Phone, and recently it has been announced with mixed comments. It runs a Playstation Emulator app (called "Playstation Pocket") which you can control with the slide out Playstation buttons. The device runs a Sony skinned version of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), this includes Timescape and Mediascape. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1Ghz processor, and in Neocore tests it reached an impressive 59.4 FPS, which is expected from a device mostly concentrated on gaming, 512 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, 1500 mAh battery, 4 inch LCD display (not AMOLED, Super AMOLED, or Super AMOLED plus, a front facing camera (unknown, but probably 1.3 megapixel), 5 megapixel back facing camera, and 720 p HD video recording (not sure about playback).

Cyanogenmod 7 Quadrant Benchmark on Nexus S
Penulis : Dirman Waktu : 0 Komentar
sFor those of your who have rooted your phone, and have flashed a Custom ROM, the way that I suggested you do it. Then you will know what Cyanogenmod is. And for those of your who don't know what Cyanogenmod is, it's a Custom ROM (in my opinion the best, as i've told you many time).
Basically the new CM 7 will be coming out officially in a stable version and in will contain Gingerbread!!! So if your stuck on Android 1.5, 1.6, 2.1 or even 2.2 you definitely should give this a go... when in comes out. On the Nexus S, some experimental builds have been released and show some impressive results: (from the app Benchmark which basically shows you how fast your phone can process information. Rooting your phone does significantly improve speeds and Custom ROM'ing even further)Nightly Builds (Experimental Builds) are out for downloading but I would stay away from these... especially if your a beginner, just stick with the stable versions which you can download through ROM Manager.
Too the right is a QR code you can scan with Barcode Scanner (from the Market) that will lead you to the Quadrant app so you can test your phones processing speed.Via AndroidCommunity
